Furniture "loft" by "Zalizo"
To a person who is not familiar with modern furniture, it would seem strange that a company with the eloquent name "Zalizo" is a full member of the association of furniture makers who traditionally work with wood and wood materials. But modern furniture has long since gone beyond the traditional, and the furniture industry now includes both those who exclusively process glass and those who deal only with metal. And most often, modern furniture makers practice combining different materials in furniture products: wood, metal, glass, plastics, and stone.
Mykolaiv-based Zalizo LLC is one of these "combinators": its furniture is based on metal combined with wood elements: for example, if it is tables, the bases are metal and the table tops are made of chipboard. Natalia Nikolayenko, the current head of the company, or as it is now called, the CEO, spoke in more detail about the specifics of Zaliz:
- "We are a young company (we are only two years old), but we have already established ourselves in the domestic market with great authority. This is evidenced by a number of profitable tender sales of our products. We thought of ourselves as a manufacturer and supplier of metal components for furniture companies: frames, frames, bases, and other metal furniture elements. We started with this, but soon realized that we could simultaneously produce furniture on the basis of our own frames, having established both the production of home furniture and school, garden, office, and HoReCa furniture. That's how we became real furniture makers, although we haven't lost the function of a supplier of metal components for our furniture partners. Now we are simultaneously developing both of these areas.
The furniture that Natalia Nikolaienko's company produces, both serially and on a custom basis, fits best into the so-called industrial interior style, better known as "loft." Having become fashionable, including in furniture, in the last century, this "harsh" style is still confidently, so to speak, "ironically" holding its ground, and Zalizo is taking advantage of this.
However, as the saying goes, metal is not the only thing. Despite the fact that woodworking is not as technologically comprehensive as metalworking, Zalizo is also capable of producing chipboard furniture: cabinets, chests of drawers, cabinets, etc.
- You also offer your partner companies - and not only furniture companies - such a service as powder coating of metal products and elements...
- Yes, although this operation is mainly a part of our production of custom-made furniture components. It is clear that we sell each such product to the customer in the color agreed with him. But it also happens that we are asked to paint products that are not made by us. We do not refuse. In this case, powder coating is really a service.
In general, it is easy and convenient for our furniture colleagues to work with us. In particular, in terms of order fulfillment. I know of similar companies that are very reluctant to deviate from their basic product designs, reluctant to change their established production processes or technologies. And even if the customer needs to increase or decrease the size of something by at least five centimeters, they either refuse such orders or extend the deadline for their fulfillment. With us, regardless of whether something is ordered from one of our mass-produced models or a customized version is needed, the lead time is unchanged.
- In order to intensify the promotion of its products, the company offers dealer cooperation on the terms of dropshipping. Tell us about this form of dealership: maybe not all members of our Association know about it, but if they do, they will use it too.
- Dropshipping is a trade scheme in which the manufacturer's products are sold by an intermediary (dropshipper). The intermediary's profit is formed by the difference between the cost of the goods from the manufacturer and the price for which the goods were sold to the customer. Yes, this trading scheme does not do without an intermediary, but only at the stage of finding a buyer for the manufacturer's goods, but the manufacturer delivers the ordered goods to the end customer directly, without the participation of an intermediary. This is the peculiarity of such a trading scheme and its profitability for both the dealer and the manufacturer.
