Modern Ukrainian business is going through a difficult time: war, economic instability, and the transformation of the labor market. However, these challenges are not a reason to stop, but an opportunity to reconsider our own principles.
That is why Zalizo has joined the global initiative WEPs (Women's Empowerment Principles), which brings together companies that promote equality, inclusion and support for women in the workplace.
We believe that women can realize themselves in any field, from entrepreneurship to production. Being strong, active, and determined is not about “masculine” or “feminine” traits. It is about choice, decent conditions and a supportive environment.
We already have inspiring examples.
Zalizo employs two women who were trained from scratch as part of an internal program. At first, they studied theory, then did an internship, and today they are full-fledged specialists who
- assemble furniture
- work with CNC machines,
- drill, edge, and cut,
- make cardboard boxes and pack products,
- prepare products for shipment,
- assemble accessories.
We are truly proud of their achievements and perseverance. This is not only an example of intrinsic motivation, but also a testament to how much can be achieved if given the opportunity and support. They learn new things every day, are not afraid of challenging tasks and prove that a “woman's work” is any business she chooses.
