Zalizo has officially joined the global initiative Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), the principles of women's empowerment initiated by the United Nations. This is another step in our mission to build a responsible business where women have equal opportunities for fulfillment, growth and influence.
We were trained as part of the international project Women Empowerment in Manufacturing, implemented by GIZ Ukraine under the EU4Business program with the support of the EU and BMZ. This experience gave us more than just new knowledge:
- We are preparing to implement Lean approaches in production;
- We have explored the possibilities of digital transformation and the use of AI;
- we have familiarized ourselves with the principles of the green transition;
- and most importantly, we became part of a powerful community of women who support each other.
Zalizo is a team that works in the field of metalworking, custom furniture, and technical solutions. The business was founded by a woman, and from the very beginning, we have been proving in practice that the tech sector has no gender restrictions.
We are grateful to the program organizers for their support, for mentioning our company in international communication, as well as for inspiration and motivation.
Signing the WEPs is a logical continuation of our path to transparent, ethical and equal business.
